Jackson Krall has been an active member of the NYC Avant Jazz scene as a drummer since the mid 1970's. He has worked with choreographers Elaine Shipman and Kay Nishikawa, and was a frequent drummer of choice for the iconic pianist Cecil Taylor for 20+ years. With an exceptional understanding of his chosen field, he became a founding member of the largest educational faculty of its kind in NYC, Empire Loisieda Escola de Samba and has his own group The Secret Music Society"
John Blum is also based in New York City and studied piano under the common glue that binds the Piano Duo Trio together, namely Cecil Taylor. Percussive but with relentlessly fast right-hand linear structures, he plays with such forcefulness and rapidity that he has become an underground legend of the downtown music scene in New York and across the globe.
Celebrating nearly 50 years in the industry, Mark Hennen has also been a critical component of jazz’s improvisation movement and has performed in New York’s biggest clubs, at festivals across the country and in Europe. Also influenced by McCoy Tyner, Bud Powell, Larry Young, Jimmy Smith and so many more, Mark is a multi-instrumentalist who defies the expectations of normal jazz constructs as he pushes the genre beyond the traditional forms of swing, bebop, hard bop and cool jazz.
